AIRPULL’s Manufacturing, Quality and R&D Capabilities
A Full-Cycle Manufacturer of Air Compressor Filter Elements
R&D Capability
Engineering-driven design with optimized filtration performanceEvery new filter element starts as a CAD model, not on the cutting table. Engineers build the 3D model and run the flow simulation before folding the first prototype for testing — all before the tooling is cut. That is why a new spec usually fits the first time it goes into the housing.
3D Model DevelopmentMade-to-order design, from drawing to sample
CFD Flow SimulationFlow field and pressure-drop simulation before toolingIn-house custom engineering
Our R&D is driven by the Compatible with market: new models, discontinued OEM numbers, and customer-specific variants. Around 300 new part numbers leave the drawing board every year.
- 3D parametric modeling— Assembly dimensions, thread specs, and sealing faces are validated at the model stage, then tooling begins.
- CFD / ANSYS flow simulation— Simulates the internal flow field so we see where pressure drop builds up and where oil mist bypasses, before a single part is made.
- Prototype workshop— 3D-printed end caps, hand-folded first articles, and small pilot runs validate a spec end to end.
Key technology breakthroughs
In these four areas, we put the hard work into the media and separation structure — not onto the customer's compressor.

Long-life, low-resistance technology
Media structure and pleat geometry are tuned together to keep initial pressure drop low while meeting real filtration accuracy — the compressor does not burn extra energy pulling air through the element.

0.1-micron particle detection
Our test bench resolves down to 0.1 micron. With that resolution, outlet oil content becomes a measured figure, not a promise.

Multi-stage oil mist separation
A graded separation path flings oil droplets out of the airstream stage by stage instead of relying on a single media layer; outlet oil content stays stable as the element loads with oil.

Eco-degradable media technology
The spent element breaks down gradually in the environment, with no compromise on service life or filtration performance.
Testing Capability
Incoming material control and end-of-line verificationA filter can be dimensionally perfect, but if the wrong media batch is used, it still fails on the compressor. That is why inspection sits at both ends of the line: raw material is not released into inventory, and finished goods do not leave the packing area.
Raw material control
The incoming inspection room holds six instruments, and every media batch runs through all of them. Any single item failing means the whole batch goes back — there is no "partial release."
- Tensile tester— tensile strength of media and adhesive seams
- Burst strength tester— pressure the media withstands before rupture
- Precision balance— weight verification of media and finished goods
- Pore size analyzer— bubble-point pore size, sets filtration accuracy
- Water penetration tester— hydrophobic behavior of separator media
- Air permeability tester— media airflow at a given differential
Incoming inspection roomWhere new designs get verified
Six test benches sit in our own laboratory. A spec is signed off here, not on a sales flyer — and the readings are archived with the batch number.

Oil filter fatigue / flow resistance bench
Cyclic loading to failure, recording flow-resistance curves at various differentials and pre-failure life.

Oil mist oil-content bench
Measures outlet oil content (mg/m³) at rated flow — the number that decides whether a separator element can go on the machine.

Oil mist particle counter
Particle count and size distribution of the outlet airstream, resolved to 0.1 micron — it turns outlet oil content into a measured value, not a claim.

Bypass valve bench
Verifies bypass valve cracking pressure and reseat performance to avoid crushing the element on cold start.

Leakage test bench
Pressure-decay testing of end-cap and housing sealing faces. Unfiltered air bypassing the element is the most common reason a "filter does not work."

Air filter bench
Measures the flow-to-pressure-drop relationship of intake elements across the flow range of the matched compressor.
Finished-goods end-of-line verification
From the last workstation to the packing area, two more checks stand in between.

Pulse test bench
Repeated pressure pulses compress years of machine duty into a short cycle — weak welds show up before shipment, not at the customer's site.

In-line inspection station
An automated inspection station at the line end; each element passes inspection before it may enter the packing area.
Manufacturing Capability
High-volume production with stable delivery capabilityMedia slitting, pleating, end-cap welding, final assembly, and packing all happen under one roof. No process is outsourced to a workshop we cannot walk into — that is the premise that lets a batch trace back to a specific machine.
Automated StampingHigh-precision stamping and forming of filter components, running efficiently at a consistent production pace.
End-cap welding & assemblyAutomated end-cap welding and assembly, running continuously at a consistent production pace.
Air filter element assemblyPleated media and support cages assembled in sequence, flowing line by line at a constant takt time.Unbroken quality data chain
Four systems share one record, which is what makes the batch number meaningful.

Inquiries, samples, and after-salesfeedback are filed on one thread, so fieldissues loop back to production.

Design and process data are recorded onone thread across the lifecycle - thestarting point of quality data traceability.

Two disciplines, five steps
Quality System
Full-process quality control from raw materials to deliveryQuality is not a department at the end of the line — it is four checkpoints every element must clear, plus a record that outlives the shipment. A year after delivery, when the customer asks again, we answer from data, not memory.
Certification wallISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001 · IATF 16949 · VDA 6.3 audit recordsInspection gates across the process
Design and manufacturing follow the same standard at every step.
Incoming inspection
Media, end caps, and seals are sampled on arrival; key indicators must pass before release to the line.
Process inspection
First article of each shift is checked to full dimensions per drawing; pleat pitch, bond quality, and weld strength are patrolled, and the line stops on deviation.
Final inspection
Before warehousing, verifies pressure drop, flow, and sealing, and checks dimensions, labeling, and packing list.
Batch traceability
Every element carries a batch number tied to the media batch and test data used. When the customer asks later, we answer from records, not memory.
Service Capability
Fast response and reliable after-sales supportMost customers hold a part number they cannot fully confirm themselves, and the machine has to run next week. Answering that quickly is itself part of the product.

2-hour technical response
Inquiries, after-sales, and part-number checks get a first reply within 2 hours during work hours; anything affecting downtime is escalated to an engineer the same day — we help restore air production before discussing the order.

Part identification & cross-reference
Send a site photo, nameplate, or OEM number and we return the matching AIRPULL part number, dimensions, and fitment confirmation — so you do not order the wrong item.
